Travel, Presentation Logistics

We look forward to welcoming you here in Cologne on Monday for the start of the Tribolium meeting!

A few practical, logistical notes:
(1) For oral presentations, we will provide a PC laptop running Microsoft Office 2007 and a Mac laptop with MS Office 2004 and with Keynote version 3.0.2. Both the PC and the Mac will also have Quicktime and Acrobat Reader. For smooth transitions between talks, we ask that, as far as possible, all talks be loaded onto these two computers. There will be time during the Monday afternoon registration period for checking compatibility/ loading talks, as well as later in the meeting during the coffee breaks.

(2) For finding your way to the meeting venue, have a look at the local, annotated map. As far as possible, we will signpost the way to the meeting both from the Hildegardis-Krankenhaus bus stop (busses 136 and 146) and the Weyertal tram stop (line 9). This information will also be provided as a hard copy at the meeting.

There have been a few small tweaks to the program schedule:

Preliminary Meeting Program

A preliminary program for the meeting is now available (jpeg file to download – our blog doesn't permit pdfs...). Please have a look and let us know if anything is amiss. The registration desk will be open on the first afternoon for receiving payment and for distributing information packs. All talk slots assume five minutes for questions, so please plan accordingly. Talk slots are therefore 15 + 5 minutes or 25 + 5 minutes.

Thanks again to all who have registered.  The preliminary program is in the works and will be available soon.  Meanwhile, just for interest, the ~45 people attending the meeting will be coming from 11 cities in six countries on two continents – not bad for a "regional" meeting!
